Take a ride on one of Vietnam’s most famous roads! Our vintage Vespas will drive you from charming Hoi An to historic Hue using a curated route that takes in mountains, coast, villages and endless miles of scenic scenery! With plenty of stops along the way, it’s all about capturing the beauty and magic of Central Vietnam!
The journey begins from your Hoi An hotel, where you’ll cimb on the back of our Vespas and hit the road! Follow the coast up to Da Nang, stopping to stretch your legs on a suspension bridge with wonderful views. Then zoom onwards to a fisherman’s temple for a quick dose of local culture.
Then the Vespas take you up Hai Van Pass, a winding road with brilliant views over the coastline. Stop along the way to see old war battlements and bunkers, learning about the fascinating history of this strategic pass. Fuel up with a strong local coffee, then zip down hairpin turns to Lang Co Beach.
Cruise around a lagoon adorned with stilted houses and oyster farms en route to a local restaurant for lunch. Continuing on to Hue, the next leg of the Vespa adventure takes you through majestic countryside with plenty of opportunities to stop and experience local culture. Ancestral houses, the ‘City of Ghosts’, a hilltop Buddhist Pagoda and Cham Temples are among the brilliant sites along the way.
Reaching the outskirts of Hue, visit a fish-sauce making farm and boat building yard for a glimpse at rural traditions. Once in Hue city, this memorable Hai Van Pass Vespa tour wraps up with a drop off at the hotel.

This tour starts in Hoi An and ends in Hue. It is a one-way journey and does NOT return to Hoi An. The journey takes a full day (around 9.5 hours) because we stop often and drive off the main road for parts of the trip. This Vespa Adventures day tour also includes a separate luggage transfer- your larger bags will be collected at your Hoi An hotel and delivered to your Hue hotel in time for your arrival.

Yes, the Hoi An to Hue Vespa Adventure tour runs year-round. Central Vietnam weather can be unpredictable in certain months of the year but in the case of rain, we have high-quality rain ponchos that we’ll pull over and pop on! Should the rain get quite heavy, we’ll make a stop in a local restaurant or shop until it lightens up again. In the rare case we need to cancel a tour due to unsafe weather, we’ll notify you in advance and offer you the opportunity to reschedule or refund.
