Immerse yourself in the captivating essence of Hanoi as you explore its historical sites, bustling markets, and quaint side streets on a vintage Vespa.
Our adventure begins with a refreshing cup of coffee in the Old Quarter before venturing through the city’s labyrinth of lanes toward St. Joseph’s Cathedral for a picturesque photo stop.
Navigating Hanoi’s iconic narrow streets, we pause to delve into the city’s exciting art scene, both traditional and contemporary, on our way to the historic Long Bien Bridge.
Constructed in the early 1900s, this remarkable structure spans the Red River and has withstood countless bombings. Capture stunning photos and, if the weather permits, enjoy an exhilarating ride across the bridge!
Our journey continues with a scenic drive past Hanoi’s largest lake, leading to a lively marketplace for a leisurely stroll. From there, we’ll zip over to a smaller lake, visit a 400-year-old temple, and witness the remnants of a B-52 aircraft downed during the city’s 1972 bombing raids.
Back on our Vespas, we ride to our final Insider’s stop—a heartwarming encounter with a Hanoi local. Depending on the season, you’ll have the pleasure of meeting a charismatic kumquat farmer or a skillful Vietnamese tea master before returning to your hotel.

We take safety seriously! Guests will sit behind experienced drivers throughout the tour.
Hanoi’s streets can certainly feel overwhelming to first time visitors but rest assured, Vespa Adventures’ tours are safe! Our drivers have been navigating the Hanoi lanes since they were young and understand the unwritten rules of the road. We have also designed the route to follow quieter streets, without fast moving or large vehicles, whenever possible and take extra precaution in the case of heavy traffic or inclement weather.
The Insider’s Hanoi tour runs in the morning and afternoon. The visits are the same on each tour, however the order of stops and routing may change slightly.
Vespa Adventures tours run rain or shine. We include high-quality rain ponchos on each Vespa so if it does start to rain, we’ll pull over, pop on the poncho and continue on our way! The only change will be that on Long Bien bridge we will stop for photos but not drive across as the bridge becomes dangerously slippery in wet conditions.
